Best time to go
With a continental climate, the best dates to travel to Uzbekistan are in the middle of the season:
- April – May
- September - October
The seasonal difference makes Uzbekistan a destination to visit all year round: spring is the blooming time of a wide variety of wildflower species that you will appreciate along the way and autumn is harvest time, therefore you can taste a range of fruits and food products at local markets.
Before you go
To fully enjoy your stay in Uzbekistan, it is best to prepare before your departure. Here you will find practical information about it:
Travel insurance is necessary and we recommend it in case of cancellation for medical and non-medical reasons. Said insurance would allow for the cost of hospitalization and assistance costs in the event of repatriation. Furthermore, it would be useful in the event of an interruption to your stay; this would be refunded to you.
We also advise you to check what type of insurance your bankcard covers; perhaps it already covers the aforementioned items.

Visa for Uzbekistan
French citizens enjoy a visa-free regime to enter Uzbekistan for a period of 30 days; the passport must be valid for a minimum of 3 months after return from Uzbekistan.
For passengers of other nationalities, we advise you to see the following link to see the visa conditions required for each country or to consult your airline before traveling:
Health
There are currently no applicable COVID-19 restrictions on entry for travelers from Europe. Uzbekistan does not present any particular risk.
Think about having medicines on hand against dehydration, intestinal disorders and mountain sickness – you will find many pharmacies throughout the country except in some very remote rural areas, for this we recommend carrying a small emergency kit. Protect yourself from the sun during the summer.
